My New Year’s Resolution came to me the other day while making my five year old son’s lunch. I was making him a turkey and cheese sandwich per his request and before I put it in his lunch box, I decided to cut it in the shape of a heart. Since he is in Kindergarten, I know that I have limited time to do to these kinds of things before he starts getting embarrassed. I still have time left where I can show him my affection in public. They Know More Than You Think.
I haven’t had the news on lately. Mostly because I don’t want my kids to hear all about the horrific school shooting in Connecticut, but also because I don’t want to hear about it either. It makes me sad and mad all at the same time, and I feel like my head spins out of control when I start to envision the looks on those kids and teachers faces as the gunman ran through the school. I picture my own 5 ½ year old son’s face and then I break down. Continue Reading...

Thankful For The Little Things
November is the month that we talk about the things for which we are thankful! We reflect on our lives and discover the things that we may take for granted and give thanks as Thanksgiving draws near. I can make a list, like everyone else this month and say that I am thankful for my wonderful children who bring joy to my life, an amazing husband who works hard and allows me to be a stay at home Mommy, and an awesome community where we have so many great friends that we can count on! Those things are true and I am so thankful for them, but what about the little things? This year I decided to dig deep within and list the random things for which I am thankful. Here goes…… Continue Reading...
My “Happy Pill”
I cried after hot yoga today… and no it wasn’t because I am not as limber as I thought I was! It was a happy cry and a take a deep inhale and then a big exhale kind of cry. That might seem odd to some people…most people actually, but the change I have felt emotionally within me over the past couple weeks has been incredible. Continue Reading...
Intern Wanted
After I graduated college, I interned with King 5 TV’s Evening Magazine, for a few months. It helped me acquire experience and become more marketable in the workplace. This was back in the year 2000, and little did I know that 7 years later I would be “retired,” and now 12 years later, looking to hire an intern of my own. Here is the ad I am thinking of putting out. Let me know if anyone is interested. Continue Reading...
13 Reasons I Think Every Day Is Ground Hogs Day!
Pretty much every day is Ground Hogs Day around here. Sure, occasionally I get to leave for a couple of hours to get my hair done or to get a filling at the dentists office, but most every day is the same routine around this house…..the exact same routine. I decided to sit down and list the top reasons it feels like Ground Hogs Day, again. Continue Reading...

Treading Water
I had a Doctors appointment yesterday afternoon with my OB/GYN. It was just a check-up, and NO, I am not pregnant again. My Doctor has known me for over 6 years now, and has has been my Doctor for all three of my pregnancies. She has watched me crack jokes throughout all of them….even on the operating table for my C-sections. Continue Reading...
Husbands Requests
For those of you who feel badly for what my husband has to deal with by having me as a wife….. I just checked my email briefly in between taking care of our 3 year old daughter who has strep throat, changing my 1 year old daughters poopy diaper and cleaning the entire house in preparation for my in laws arrival today! This is what he took time out of his “busy” schedule to send me! Continue Reading...
